It is unclear which came first (The Hen or the Egg). Both hockey and chess had been run informally together with a group of close friends. The later game was more to cover social outings during weekends.  I have been blessed to experience the power of a gift and privileged to connect with people in their journey towards exploring what God built in them. A few years ago, when the GHF idea took shape it arose from an awaking that was almost impulsive. The motivation was to give a group of deserving young men the opportunity to play at an on-going Field Hockey tournament. However, the game (field hockey) attracted an unlikely talent by the name Denis. As the country events and economy opens up due to lifting of curfews and increased Covid-19 vaccination share of the population, we are soon resuming our OTB events including; The Black & White Table, OTB Internal Tournaments and random weekend challenges mainly held at Masinde Muliro University of Science & Technology Hall (Kakamega Town) as our venue is closed for major renovations. Any change of venue is communicated to those that register via the button in the next section. The Grandmasters has managed to unite and keep members active via Online Activities predominantly via the App Lichess.org. Keep up with major events in the Next Section!!!
